School Supply Shopping Made Simple

Shopping for school supplies has sometimes been a tough job. Okay, most of the time is a tough job. Any parent out there can relate to the clogged isles of parents and children in the school supply section. I’m sure you can also relate to rummaging through countless boxes of plastic folders looking for one red plastic folder with pockets AND brads… no where to be found. Your kids picking up every little cute pencil pouch or paint set or magic sparkle pens and continuously tugging on your sleeve asking for everything. School supply shopping was just plain miserable.
Imagine doing that with four kids! One year my husband and I nearly tore our hair out trying to go through each grade level list. We were scanning the 30+ items that were requested on each school supply list, while simultaneously thwarting off ask, after ask, after ask, from our kids. We were at least thankful that the oldest two were already in high school and now college bound. They only had to start out with some paper and a pen on the first day. (That’s right… six kids.)
Enter Amazon
We got wise after that last trip and decided to order school supplies online. No more packed isles, no more begging from the kids, and no more digging through folder boxes for that one perfect folder. Online ordering is where it’s at. You could do this a number of ways. Online pickup ordering from your local favorite store around the corner, or you could also order school supplies on Amazon.
Sometimes we have found that online pickup ordering has had its drawbacks. Just as I can’t find that perfect plastic red folder with brads AND pockets, neither can a shopper because it is no longer in stock. So shopping on Amazon to have the supplies dropped right at our door has been liberating. It’s the smartest thing I’ve switched to. Well, it comes very close to online grocery shopping.
